Job summary

A recognized educational institution is looking for a temporary Learning Assistant to join their Learner Support team. This part-time role, working 18 hours a week during term-time, involves supporting students with a variety of educational needs at Knowsley Community College. Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic and conscientious individual with a learner-focused approach.
  • Minimum qualifications in Math and English at grade 5 or equivalent required.
  • Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Implement specialist support for individuals based on their Support Plan.
  • Enable students to overcome learning barriers using effective strategies.
  • Monitor and document progress for students on ProMonitor.

Skills

Experience supporting learners with additional needs (SEN)
Effective communication skills
Ability to implement teaching strategies

Education

Math and English GCSE grade 5 or equivalent
Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
