A healthcare provider is seeking a Lead Systemic Family Psychotherapist for its family therapy service in the UK. The role includes leading therapy clinics, supporting systemic practice in mental health services, and supervising new therapists. Ideal candidates will have extensive NHS experience and qualifications in family therapy. We are seeking an experienced family and systemic psychotherapist to join our well-established and valued family therapy service within specialist CAMHS in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
The post holder will contribute to the evidence‑based treatment of children with mental health difficulties by developing and supporting systemic thinking and practice within CAMHS. They will lead specialist family therapy clinics, provide consultation and training to other professionals, and supervise newly qualified family therapists and those on introductory and intermediate training. There is much scope to develop innovative systemic approaches to improve outcomes for young people and families at all stages of the CAMHS journey.
This is a full‑time post but part‑time hours may be considered.
The post holder will work within a vibrant group of systemically trained professionals, including qualified family therapists and AFT registered supervisors. They will participate in all aspects of the systemic family therapy service, including provision, receipt of training and supervision appropriate to their level of experience. The service has strong links to Birmingham and Exeter University training courses and has trained staff through HEE funding.
It is an ideal opportunity for an experienced family and systemic psychotherapist to lead and develop innovative systemic practice in a supportive team environment.
The post holder must be fully qualified in systemic family therapy with post‑qualification NHS experience working with families, and must hold registration with the UKCP via the Association of Family Therapy and Systemic Practice. A qualification in systemic supervision recognised by AFT is desirable.
