Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a Site Lead Physicist for Molecular Imaging and Therapies. This role involves providing essential scientific and technical expertise to ensure the effective and compliant delivery of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Ideal candidates will hold an MSc or higher in Medical Physics, alongside experience in Nuclear Medicine and PET. Qualifications

  • Ability to optimise medical exposures and establish Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRLs).
  • Experience conducting commissioning and acceptance testing of imaging systems.
  • Skills in monitoring and ensuring equipment surveillance.

Responsibilities

  • Optimise medical exposures and establish Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRLs).
  • Define and oversee the performance of equipment quality assurance (QA).
  • Conduct commissioning and acceptance testing of imaging systems.

Skills

MSc or higher degree in Medical Physics
PhD or equivalent experience
Membership or fellowship of IPEM
Registered Clinical Scientist under HCPC
Certified as a MPE under RPA 2000
Specialist theoretical and practical knowledge of Nuclear Medicine
Practical skills of imaging equipment
Knowledge of legislation related to radioactive materials

Education

MSc or higher degree in Medical Physics
PhD or equivalent experience
