REFYT Ltd is a fast-growing retrofit contractor and consultancy delivering large-scale decarbonisation and energy efficiency projects across the UK. We specialise in government-backed schemes like ECO4, GBIS, SHDF and the GLA’s Warmer Homes programme. With over a team of 20 across surveying, coordination, installation and operations, we’re scaling fast – and we need the right people to come on board. That’s where you come in!

The Role

We’re seeking a qualified Lead Electrician (NVQ Level 3) with 3–4 years of experience in installing residential extractor fans to join our home energy retrofit team. You’ll oversee on‑site electrical works, manage varied domestic conditions, and ensure safe, high‑quality installations. You should be confident with domestic electrical systems, including sockets, fuses, lighting, and ventilation and experienced in retrofit projects. Solar PV or low‑voltage (LV) experience is desirable, and MCS certification is an advantage. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage on‑site electrical installation teams, ensuring safe and efficient work.
  • Install, test, and maintain domestic energy efficiency measures, including ventilation systems, wiring, and associated electrical components.
  • Ensure all work complies with PAS 2035, building regulations, and REFYT quality standards.
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and quality checks.
  • Coordinate with project managers, retrofit coordinators, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Mentor and support junior electricians, promoting best practices and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records, certification, and compliance documentation.
Experience
  • Proven experience as an Electrician, ideally with team‑leading experience in retrofit, construction, or home improvement projects.
  • In‑depth knowledge of domestic electrical systems, wiring, and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with PAS 2035, ECO, or retrofit frameworks is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using project tracking tools and maintaining compliance records.
Education/Qualifications
  • Electrical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Additional certifications in retrofit, energy efficiency, or health and safety are desirable but not essential.
Requirements
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as part of national retrofit projects.
  • Manual UK Driving Licence
