Responsibilities

  • Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are washed and put away.
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.
  • Assist with preparation and plating of dishes.
  • Help with stock control and correct storage of deliveries.
  • Report maintenance issues to the kitchen manager.
  • Monitor food waste and ensure proper disposal.
  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks.

Get Golfing CIO is seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our team at Redlibbets Golf Club for weekend support. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our kitchen, ensuring it meets all health and safety standards. You will work alongside a team of experienced chefs and kitchen staff, gaining valuable experience and knowledge of the food and beverage industry.

£12.21 per hour, with weekend shifts and flexibility during the week, as per the needs of the business.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring all kitchen equipment and utensils are washed, dried, and put away properly
  • Maintaining high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Helping with the preparation and plating of dishes
  • Assisting with stock control and ensuring all deliveries are stored correctly
  • Reporting all maintenance issues to the kitchen manager
  • Monitoring food waste and ensuring it is disposed of safely and correctly
  • Assisting the chefs with basic food preparation tasks
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills and an ability to work well in a team
  • Willingness to maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Good timekeeping and organisational skills
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred, but not essential
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings. 2x 6hr shifts across weekends, 2x 4hr shifts Monday - Friday (depending on business need)
