Job summary

A technology consulting firm based in London is seeking an IT Support / IT Technician to provide support in a sales & trading environment. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of relevant IT support experience and be proficient in troubleshooting Windows and market data applications. Location: London

Experience: 2–3 years of relevant IT support/technical experience

We are seeking an IT Support / IT Technician with 3–6 years of experience in a sales & trading support environment within investment banking.

Responsibilities
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain software applications & infrastructure.
  • Handle escalation from the helpdesk for application support, including in-house, third‑party, and market‑data applications.
  • Support sales & trading users with technical queries and troubleshoot trading systems and market‑data systems on a trading desktop environment.
  • Maintain proficiency with Bloomberg terminal troubleshooting.
  • Provide support for operating‑system drivers, software, and firmware.
  • Assist users with home‑connection and work‑from‑home set‑ups (firm or personal laptop + virtual machine).
  • Ensure client policies and procedures are communicated and adhered to.
  • Create and maintain support documentation.
  • Collaborate with other support groups (local and global) across multiple platforms.
  • Record and manage incidents and requests in the ticket‑tracking system.
  • Proactively inform management of trends, significant problems, and expected delays.
  • Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule for after‑hours and weekend support.
  • Stay current on technology and engage in training programmes.
  • Respond promptly to communications across multiple platforms such as e‑mail, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Symphony, and Jive.
  • Have experience working with banking, financial services, or trading organisations.
