# Health Care Assistant – Oldham Community(UK Visa Sponsorship)### Job Description## About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and motivated Health Care Assistant to join our Adult Community Nursing Service in Oldham. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by supporting registered nurses in delivering high-quality care to patients in their own homes and community settings.As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will help ensure that patients receive safe, consistent, and personalised care while promoting physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.### Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Health Care Assistant, your main duties will include:* Delivering delegated clinical and therapeutic care to patients, families, and carers* Supporting registered nurses with daily clinical tasks in patients’ homes or designated treatment rooms* Observing, recording, and reporting changes in patients’ condition* Working effectively as a member of the Adult Community Nursing Team* Encouraging patient independence and wellbeing while promoting a safe environment### Qualifications & Experience**Essential:*** NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship, or equivalent experience* Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English & Maths D–G)* Care Certificate (or willingness to complete)* Previous experience in a health or social care setting,* Ability to work as part of a team**Desirable**:* Interest or experience in mentoring and supporting learners* Commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD)### Skills & Personal Attributes**Essential:*** Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Basic IT skills for patient record management* Strong organisational and time management skills* Ability to travel across the Oldham community footprint to meet service needs**Desirable:**Full UK driving license with willingness to use own vehicle for work purposes### About Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation TrustThe NCA serves over one million people across Greater Manchester, providing hospital and community-based health and social care services.
