A financial services company is seeking a Head of Regulatory Development to lead the UKGI Governance & Assurance Regulatory Development team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in compliance roles within FCA regulated firms, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements. This role involves strategic leadership, mentorship, and ensuring compliance within a fast-changing regulatory landscape. London salary: circa £130,000
National salary: circa £115,000

This role will suit an experienced regulatory leader who understands FCA, PRA, and Lloyd’s requirements and is ready to take ownership of driving Aviva’s UKGI (General Insurance) regulatory development agenda. If you’re confident influencing at senior levels and passionate about compliance and customer trust, this could be the perfect next step for you!
You’ll lead our UKGI Governance & Assurance Regulatory Development team, making sure UKGI stays compliant and trusted in a fast-changing regulatory landscape. Your work will cover all UKGI business lines, helping us evolve delivery against Consumer Duty principles and deliver good outcomes for customers. You’ll own key frameworks and reporting processes, including collation of FCA returns, co‑ordinate regulatory change activity across the GI business, and act as a trusted partner to the Risk function, internal teams and regulators as required. This role is about strategic leadership—setting direction, driving efficiency, and ensuring regulatory changes are implemented smoothly. You’ll also mentor and develop your team, building capability and best practice across Aviva.
