Job description
Group Reporting Accountant

Base pay range: £50,000 to £60,000 plus a 10% bonus. Benefits include 25 days holiday, bank holidays, a birthday day off, a supportive work environment and close collaboration with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of monthly management accounts for the Parent Company, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear supporting analysis to aid decision‑making.
  • Prepare detailed consolidated monthly group accounts and comprehensive reporting packs for senior management and investors.
  • Develop robust cash‑flow forecasts, monitor actual performance, manage the quarterly group VAT return process, and assist with VAT queries across multiple companies.
  • Lead acquisition accounting, including preparing completion accounts, planning and managing integration timetables, and producing consolidation journals for complex structures.
Qualifications
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Strong background in financial reporting, group consolidations and confident communication with senior stakeholders.
  • Well‑developed technical accounting knowledge with hands‑on experience in acquisition accounting, integration work and production of high‑quality financial reports.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, able to handle multiple priorities with exceptional accuracy and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Advanced Excel skills for working with complex financial data, producing meaningful analysis and presenting information clearly to finance and non‑finance colleagues.
Eligibility & Working Arrangements

Primarily remote; based in the Midlands is ideal but not essential. Candidates who do not meet every requirement but possess strong motivation and potential are encouraged to apply.
