We are currently seeking to appoint a Graphic Design Assistant on A Full-time, permanentclassified.

Job purpose

As a Graphic Design Assistant, you will work closely with the Graphic Design Manager to fulfil design requirements from across the college. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative individual with a passion for graphic design to contribute to the visual identity and branding of Media Magic.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Graphic Design Manager to create visually appealing and effective designs for various marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, social media graphics, digital ads, and other promotional materials.
  • Assist in conceptualizing and developing design concepts that align with Media Magics branding guidelines.
  • Organize and maintain design files, ensuring they are easily accessible and well-structured for future reference.
  • Version control and archiving of design projects.
  • Prepare and format design files for printing, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Collaborate with external print vendors to oversee the production process when necessary.
  • Work closely with the marketing team, content creators, and other departments to Merrill needs and deliver solutions that meet project objectives.
  • Review design briefs and provide input on design concepts and execution.
  • Stay updated on design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in graphic design.
  • Contribute creative ideas and concepts to enhance Media Magic's visual communication.
  • Proofread and review designs for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines before finalization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in graphic design, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including print and digital materials.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of printing processes and production methods is a plus.
  • Familiarity with web design and multimedia tools is a bonus.
