£480–£510 per week (term time only)

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and organised Attendance Officer to join our school team. You will play a key role in monitoring, improving, and maintaining student attendance, supporting both students and families, and contributing to a positive school culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and track student attendance records accurately.
  • Contact parents/guardians regarding absences and follow up on unexplained absences.
  • Work with staff and external agencies to support students with attendance issues.
  • Maintain attendance records and produce reports for senior staff.
  • Support interventions to improve attendance and punctuality.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and welfare procedures when required.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in education or administration is desirable.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.
  • Experience working with young people (in schools, youth settings, camps, or mentoring) is desirable but not essential.
