Job summary

A leading construction services group in Manchester is seeking a Document/Information Controller to assist with project preparation and cash management. The role requires a minimum 2:1 degree in Civil Engineering, alongside good communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ideal candidates should have a proactive attitude and a passion for learning, with less than a year of relevant work experience. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of project final accounts.
  • Prepare internal or external reports.

STRABAG’S Recruitment & Selection Process:

Our graduate selection process shall comprise of the following stages: Application, Online assessment, Shortlisting, Graduate Assessment Centre.

Role Requirements:
  • Assist in the preparation of project final accounts
  • Assisting in the preparation of internal or external reports
  • Cash management including WIP control and cash flow production
  • Drafting of subcontracts including professional services
  • Identification of insurance claims and understanding policy coverage
  • Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change control measures
  • Measurement of quantities in accordance with the standard methods of measurement as required
  • Support with any tender preparation processes
  • Supporting in the preparation of valuations/applications for payment
  • Use the cost allocation/coding which satisfies both internal and external requirements
  • Utilise cost controlling systems and methods
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2:1 in Civil Engineering
  • No more than 12 months’ work experience
  • Good communication and teamwork skills with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Hard working with a positive can‑do attitude.
