We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our Business Digital Department team as a Graduate Project and Technology Coordinator.

Department Overview

The department is responsible for managing IT digital projects and leading system improvement initiatives. This includes overseeing the planning, implementation, and optimisation of technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and support organisational goals.

What is a Graduate Project and Technology Coordinator advanced apprenticeship?

You will work with colleagues across the business (both locally and globally) in supporting IT topics, all whilst developing your own skills and learning first‑hand how a global, market‑leading entity makes changes to improve its own capabilities. This role is about working with people in many departments and seniorities, so building your network is key to your success. You'll become proactively visible, a valuable member of the business, and work to develop a strong reputation with all colleagues. With your enthusiasm, interest and experience of current and emerging technology trends in IT and AI, you’ll be able to apply this knowledge to support and consult with stakeholders, as well as consider project requirements.

Key responsibilities
  • Efficiently support the delivery of several IT projects and key developments for multiple IT applications
  • Communicate with key stakeholders to gather technical requirements
  • Facilitate and take responsibility for leading local IT development requests
  • Align technical IT requirements and business needs into actionable deliverables
  • Manage IT developments and/or project implementation through the IT project lifecycle
  • Be able to effectively interpret data across several IT systems using modern data technologies to support technical requirement gathering, support testing and identify cost‑effective solutions
  • Create and maintain relevant and necessary project documentation including open points lists, risk registers and communication plans
  • Have a mindset which demonstrates new ideas and proactively engages with internal associates to promote self‑branding

You will receive full training both one‑to‑one and‑paced online to achieve the required capabilities. Furthermore, you will also receive one‑to‑one coaching with feedback, as well as mentoring to develop your key competencies.

Qualifications

Right To Work: please ensure you have valid Right To Work in the UK status for the duration of the contract term. This is a 2‑year fixed term role.

Our ideal candidate must have
  • A “can do” attitude in terms of learning and managing several topics at once
  • A willingness to deep dive into new topics, as well as being seen as a promoter to stakeholders of IT solutions, systems or processes
  • A sociable and approachable attitude, who is both responsible and proactive
  • An ability to show determination in dealing with challenges and finding solutions
  • Be degree qualified preferably Business Management, IT/Computer Science or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills combined with an analytical mind able to understand and interpret complex concepts
Our ideal candidate should have
  • Computer literate with a solid understanding of the Microsoft 365 packages. Awareness of traditional enterprise IT systems is advantageous. Candidate will be able to demonstrate examples of using systems in previous experiences.
  • Strong capability in understanding technical IT requirements and translating them into actionable solutions
  • A proactive and agile team player, the selected individual will be self‑motivated, with exceptional time‑management skills
  • Have the confidence to challenge and propose new ideas
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm to learn and applies this knowledge using their initiative
  • Good attention to detail and a quality mindset

Contract Duration: 2 years

Working Hours: Office Based. 39 hours per week – standard working pattern of 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 16:00 Friday with a 1‑hour lunch break
