Job Title: Embroidery Machine Operator

1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As an Embroiderer your role will be to co-ordinate and deliver the embroidery requirements for the clothing operations of Serious Sport Group Ltd. Your direct responsibilities will be to lead the smooth and efficient running of the company’s embroidery requirements. This will consist of organising and delivering orders on time, maintenance of the embroidery machines, sampling of new client logos, ordering and stock control of embroidery supplies and assisting the production manager to ensure the delivery of all clothing orders on time. It is a challenging and enjoyable role and mentoring and advice will be available.

3. NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB
(a) Job context
The role will be a full time position subject to a successful 6 month probationary period, comprising of 40 hours per week based at Serious Sport at The Dummer Cricket Centre, Basingstoke, RG25 2AR. This is based around Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm but flexible hours are available and a rota system may be incorporated in busy seasons.
You will be entitled to 20 days holiday per year plus any bank holidays worked will be accrued annual leave. Any bank holidays that are worked will be added back as annual leave.

(i) Primary Working Relationships
·Serious Sport embroidery, printing and logistics team
·Embroidery Suppliers and maintenance engineers
·Reporting directly to the Production Manager
(ii) Secondary Working Relationships
·Serious Cricket / Sport suppliers
4. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The position requires:
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience within an embroidery team
·Great organisational and time management skills
·A candidate with effective communication and customer service skills
·Someone who is prepared to work hard and enjoys a challenge
·Someone who likes to make a difference and can be a team player
·Personal qualities which are vital – reliable, flexible, approachable, friendly, trustworthy and enthusiastic.
5.RENUMERATION
There is a full-time salary which will range from £22,800 - £25,397 per annum depending on age and experience.
Optional overtime will also be available at certain times of the year, where an hourly fee of £15 per hour will be paid.
Includes Company Bonus Scheme and Pension.
