Job summary

A financial services firm based in Inverness is seeking a Finance Assistant to join its finance team. This role provides an opportunity for school leavers or those early in their finance career to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include processing invoices, supplier reconciliations, and maintaining compliance with company policies. Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role or a high-volume financial environment is preferable but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade and influence effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • High level of integrity, self-motivated, and willing to learn.

Overview

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our clients finance team headquartered in Inverness. This is a fantastic opportunity perhaps for a school leaver looking to start a career in finance or someone early into their finance career looking to gain hands-on experience and work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Matching, coding, and processing invoices and credit notes against valid purchase orders
  • Completing supplier statement reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
  • Processing company credit card reports, ensuring compliance with company policy, and escalating queries where necessary
  • Dealing with supplier queries professionally and efficiently
  • Liaising with department managers to obtain invoice approvals where required
  • Ensuring full compliance with company policies, financial procedures, and internal controls
Desirable Skills & Attributes
