Job description

We are currently recruiting a Solicitor to join the Family Department of our client, based in Liverpool. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Department and will be joining a highly professional and motivated team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload across a variety of Family matters (including Legal Aid).
• Handle client meetings, negotiations, and court hearings.
• Draft legal documents and applications; provide advocacy where required.
• Supervise and support junior staff.
• Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to business development and maintain client relationships.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in Family Law, including Legal Aid work.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent client care and communication abilities.
• Commercially aware, proactive, and passionate about Family Law.
• Panel membership or own referral source is advantageous.
