Job description

Sikla UK was founded in 2003, has grown significantly since then, and is currently recruiting new people to join the Team.

Your key duties and responsibilities

• Receiving and processing incoming orders
• Picking and packing orders
• Loading and unloading goods
• Checking the accuracy of deliveries to customers (domestic, export, industrial projects)
• Reporting mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies immediately
• Inspecting and maintaining warehouse equipment
• Ensuring all stock is located in the correct place
• Working with tight timescales and given deadlines
• Maintaining a high level of health & safety standards (clean and safe working environment)
• Prefabricating and cutting Sikla steel components according to drawings
• Cleaning tools and tidying up the warehouse
• Following instructions and designated procedures (Warehouse Route Card)
• Assisting with the daily logistics
• Helping to minimise errors in picking, packing and loading
• Using the ERP system for standard warehouse processes
• Using Kardex vertical lifting module for warehouse storage
• Supporting the Fabrication team when requested (cutting and assembling Sikla steel components according to drawings)

Your Profile

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
• Experienced in ERP systems for standard warehouse processes
• Experience in using Kardex vertical lifting module for warehouse storage (preferred)
• Good metrics and numerical understanding
• Ability to understand and follow procedures and instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements
• Ability to work independently under pressure and to tight timescales
• Strong attention to detail
• Flexibility, multitasking and willingness to learn
• Good level of English language (reading, writing and speaking)
• Right to work in the UK
• Forklift/Combilift Licences
• Driver Licences (preferential)

Package

• Working hours:
  -Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 5PM
  -Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM
• 25 days annual leave (+ bank holidays)
• Onsite free refreshments and regular staff lunches
• Initial 3 Months Contract (prospect to be extended upon successful onboarding period)
