Overview

Estimator/Engineer - Do you have estimating experience and a background in CNC machining? This is an opportunity to work as part of the estimating team in a large, successful aerospace precision engineering company creating and submitting quotations and tender bids on complex military and aerospace parts.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to RFQs by collating information and costs on materials and treatments to prepare bids and quotes and to agree contracts.
  • Estimate 3-, 4- and 5-axis machining, fabrication and sub-assembly; work with various areas of the business to understand technical challenges, capacity, lead times and materials availability.
  • Build strong business relationships to secure a wide range of profitable work for the company.
  • Use knowledge of CNC machining / precision engineering, materials and processes alongside estimating experience to improve efficiency and act as a commercial link between customers and the company.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a precision engineering environment (ideally aerospace manufacturing), ideally with experience as an estimator or cost engineer.
  • Proficiency with Excel / Access and MS Office programs is essential.
