We are currently looking for a **Environmental Permitting Manager**to join our friendly team based in the East Midlands. The successful candidate will be based in Quorn, Leicestershire, however, you will have the opportunity to work remotely.\*\***Please note this position is a 12-month fixed-term contract\*\*****What you'll be doing**As the successful **Environmental Permitting Manager** you will work in a small friendly team within the Land and Natural Resources (L&NR) function supporting the business on a diverse range of projects to obtain permits and licences for land, air and water for our quarries, concrete, asphalt and block plants. On a day to day basis the **Environmental Permitting Manager** responsibilities will include:* Provide technical advice on the permits and licences required for new and existing operations in collaboration with the Operational, Strategic Planning and Circularity teams* Management and delivery of a wide variety of permits and licences applications* Identifying changes to regulations and guidance that require new permits, or impact on our existing permits and advise the business on actions required to become complaint* Providing expert advice to the business relating to technical issues relating to permit conditions, or associated environmental legislation* Build and manage relationships with the regulators**What we are looking for:**Ideally the successful candidate for **Environmental Permitting Manager** will have:* Good communication skills* Be a self-starter* Strong project management skills* Strong collaboration skills* A relevant degree in an environmental or science related fieldPractical experience in:* Managing permit applications and liaising with the Environment Agency and other regulators* Knowledge of environmental legislation including the Environmental Permitting Regulations, guidance, practices and procedures* Minerals, waste or water sector You’ll be joining a collaborative, innovative team.
