A leading healthcare technology organization in Liverpool is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to design and develop advanced electronic systems for healthcare sensor technologies. The role involves prototyping circuitry, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring compliance with international standards. Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, a strong background in circuit design, and excellent communication skills. This position offers a fixed-term contract until March 2028 with a competitive salary and hybrid work arrangements.
The Electronics Design Engineer will play a critical role in the design, development, and integration of advanced electronic systems for next-generation healthcare sensor technologies within the Infection Innovation Technology Laboratory (iiTECH). The postholder will be responsible for developing robust electronic circuitry and embedded systems that underpin novel handheld and wearable sensing devices aimed at the detection, monitoring, and prevention of infectious diseases. Working as part of a multidisciplinary research and development team, the appointee will contribute to the full lifecycle of sensor technology innovation from conceptual design and prototyping through to clinical validation and regulatory compliance.
Contract: Fixed term until March 2028, full time
Salary: £39,906 per annum
Location: Liverpool, hybrid (minimum of 3 days on site per week)
