Role: Electrician - Solar PV Development Pathway

Location: Wrexham and surrounding North Wales region

Salary: £33,000 to £44,000 per annum depending on skills and experience

Position Summary

This role is ideal for a qualified electrician who wants to move into the renewable energy sector and build expertise in Solar PV and battery storage installations. You will continue delivering electrical works across domestic and commercial environments while being upskilled through structured solar training and hands‑on site experience.

Working across projects local to Wrexham and North Wales, you will become part of a forward‑thinking team focused on sustainable energy solutions and high‑quality electrical delivery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Electrical Installation and Renewable Integration
  • Carry out electrical installation works across residential and commercial properties
  • Support the installation and commissioning of Solar PV and battery storage systems
  • Assist with system upgrades, extensions, and renewable integrations
Fault Finding and Servicing
  • Identify and resolve electrical and system issues efficiently
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and safety
Compliance and Quality Assurance
  • Undertake testing and verification of completed works
  • Ensure all installations meet current UK compliance and safety standards
Customer Engagement
  • Represent the company professionally on‑site
  • Deliver a positive customer experience through clear communication and reliable workmanship
Essential Criteria
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Proven experience in domestic or commercial electrical work
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Live within a commutable distance to Wrexham, North Wales
Preferred but Not Essential
  • Previous exposure to Solar PV or renewable installations
  • ECS or JIB Gold Card
  • 2391 Testing and Inspection qualification
  • Experience with battery storage systems
