Job description

Overview

Based at Morgan Academy, you will work full time, 35 hours per week. Responsibilities

• You will deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute, within the collegiate ethos, to the professional life of the school.

The Individual

• You will also demonstrate application and knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and have evidence of appropriate Professional Learning in a range of areas.
• In addition you will have a positive and caring approach and commitment to young people, have good communication/interpersonal skills and relate well to others.
• This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
• The preferred candidate will require to join the PVG Scheme to undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.

Requirements

• You will be GTCS Registered (Secondary) in August 2026, have knowledge of relevant curriculum areas and an awareness of main current issues in Scottish education.
• Applications will be accepted from teachers who are currently provisionally registered with the GTCS and who expect to gain full registration at the end of this current session.
