The Role
We’re looking for a creative and strategic Editor to shape how The Sole Supplier shows up in culture across our website, app, social channels and brand campaigns.
This isn’t just about writing, it’s about building the full storytelling system behind the brand. You’ll take big ideas and bring them to life across every format from long form and features to video scripts, visuals, captions and cultural moments.
Your mission is to drive The Sole Supplier to become a true authority in sneaker and fashion culture, creating original storytelling, first-hand journalism and commentary that others reference, not rewrite.
You’ll sit at the centre of the creative process, working with our social, video, design and marketing teams to make sure every piece connects emotionally and drives impact from awareness to engagement to conversion.
This is a hands‑on role. You’ll be shaping strategy but also in the detail – writing, editing and helping bring ideas to life across every format.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the editorial and content direction for The Sole Supplier, shaping how we tell stories across web, app, social and campaigns.
- Build and manage our cultural calendar, mixing sneaker news, brand drops, culture stories and features that people actually want to read.
- Take big ideas and turn them into smaller, channel‑specific stories while ensuring visuals, video and copy all tell one consistent story.
- Collaborate with creative, social and video teams to craft content that looks as strong as it reads.
- Write and edit high‑quality content when needed such as opinion pieces, features and cultural deep dives that set us apart.
- Maintain and evolve our tone of voice so it stays confident, conversational and credible across every platform.
- Partner with brand and commercial teams to deliver content that’s culturally relevant and commercially smart.
- Experiment with new storytelling formats including long reads, short form video, community content, and interviews to grow reach and loyalty.
- Use insights and analytics to understand what’s landing and continuously improve our storytelling.
About You
- 4+ years experience in editorial or content creation, ideally fashion, culture or lifestyle.
- Deep knowledge of sneaker culture and youth fashion.
- A natural storyteller who can make ideas live across writing, video, image and social.
- Strong writer and editor who understands how to blend emotion, structure and psychology to make stories stick.
- Experience leading or mentoring creatives, writers, freelancers or content teams.
- Strategic thinker who knows how great storytelling builds community and drives results.
- Curious, opinionated and ambitious. You care about originality and quality.
- Comfortable using AI tools and insights to speed up ideation and scale storytelling.
