Job summary

A leading care organization is looking for an experienced Registered Manager to oversee a new 2-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in York. This role requires strong leadership skills, a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in residential childcare. The position offers flexibility with typically 4 days on-site work, excellent pay rates between £350 and £400 per day, and accommodation support if needed. An immediate start is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience within a residential childcare setting.
• Experience of registering or managing an Ofsted-regulated EBD home.
• Thorough understanding of child protection and Ofsted regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Ofsted registration process for a new 2-bed EBD home in York.
• Ensure the home complies with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
• Develop and oversee care and protection plans for each young person.
