A family-run care provider is seeking a caring and reliable female Support Worker to join their team in Weymouth. This role involves supporting a gentleman with Huntington’s disease by promoting independence and encouraging activities. Applicants should have excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn, along with a valid UK driving licence. The position requires flexibility with working hours, collaborating with a tight-knit team, and maintaining accurate records in a respectful, person-centred manner.

Encouraging – people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
Supporting – Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
Communicating – effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods
Engaging – promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life
Specialising – supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches
Recording – keeping accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management
Team player – Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
