The Role

• Assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes that are creative, high-quality, and visually appealing to delight residents and guests
• Working closely with the Head Chef to deliver full food services for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• Preparing café-style food, including brunches and light lunches
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, ensuring all areas meet food safety standards
• Following and upholding Health & Safety legislation at all times
• Contributing to an outstanding dining experience, providing excellent service to residents and guests

Key Requirements

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Kitchen Assistant in a busy kitchen environment
• Good knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and procedures
• Food safety qualifications (working towards Level 2 in Food Safety or equivalent is desirable)
• Creativity and passion for food, including preparation, presentation, and nutrition
• Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently while maintaining high standards
