We are seeking an experienced Cook to work in our Specialist Residential Support Service [Name] in [Location]. In this role, you will prepare and cook well‑prepared meals while maintaining a clean and organized food preparation area. You will have experience in meal planning and preparation as well as a knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations. Experience in busy kitchen environments and strong communication and record‑keeping skills are an advantage.
A Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable or a willingness to train. An NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Catering or Hospitality is also desirable but not essential. We will consider home cooks experienced in cooking large meals.

At M&D Care, we support individuals with complex mental health needs, learning disabilities, and neurodevelopmental conditions across South and West Wales. As Cook, you'll work Monday to Friday (9am–5pm) with occasional weekends. You'll plan and prepare nutritious meals, including special diets, ensuring residents' individual needs and preferences are met. You'll maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and infection control. Responsibilities include menu planning, stock ordering, budget management, and kitchen cleanliness. You'll collaborate with support staff to align meals with care plans and engage with residents to promote enjoyable, healthy eating experiences.
