Join Our Team As A Cook At Our Clients Dundee Care Home. Are you a passionate and skilled Cook looking for a new challenge? We are on the lookout for an experienced Cook to join our Clients Care Team in a Dundee Care Home. Our mission is to provide exceptional care and support, and we believe that great food is an integral part of this experience. As a Cook at the home, you will play a vital role in creating nutritious and delicious meals that cater to the diverse needs of our residents. Your culinary skills will not only nourish our residents but also enhance their quality of life.

Working in a Care Home as a Cook can be challenging, however, a very rewarding role. You will ensure the food you prepare is of a high standard, with sociable hours that support a better work, life balance. You will adapt meals for residents with different dietary needs and create healthy balanced meals for everyone. You will be responsible for ensuring good nutritional meals are served for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and you may also manage and order supplies, menu creation, and ensuring the kitchen and equipment meet health and safety requirements.

Ideally, you should have some previous experience working within a Care Home or in a commercial kitchen with an SVQ/NVQ qualification in food preparation or cooking. You should enjoy working as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced environment with a passion for providing the very best dining experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with dietary requirements and preferences.
• Plan menus that are varied, nutritious, and appealing to our residents.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure that meal times are a positive experience for all.
• Manage stock levels and assist in the ordering of supplies as needed.
• Implement and maintain high standards of food presentation and service.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a care home or similar setting.
• Knowledge of nutritional guidelines and dietary requirements.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• A genuine passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition.

• Flexible, Permanent, Full-Time Shifts of 40 hours per week, 8am to 6.45pm over 4 days and every second weekend off.
