Ecologist

Location: Chichester
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting planning applications with clear, robust ecological assessments and technical reports
  • Advising project teams and clients on Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) strategies and practical mitigation measures
  • Liaising with local authorities, statutory consultees, and clients to guide projects smoothly through the planning process
  • Conducting site visits and ecological surveys nationwide
  • Contributing to the development of our internal ecology capability as an integral member of a growing environmental team
What We're Looking For
  • Experience delivering ecological surveys, assessments, and reports
  • Strong understanding of UK wildlife legislation, planning policy and BNG requirements
  • Confident communicator able to collaborate with planners, architects, and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, manage workloads, and deliver to deadlines
  • A passion for nature-positive design and sustainable development
