The post is a Senior Clinical Fellow in Geriatrics & Neurorehabilitation. The post holder will work as part of the neurorehabilitation multidisciplinary team and be supervised by Dr Silva. The role includes in-reach into medical wards, assessing neurorehabilitation referrals on medical wards, neurorehabilitation outpatient clinics, spasticity management and botulinum toxin injections, with training as required.
The overriding purpose is to support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement, and by working closely with the broader Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT).
The post will be based with the Neurorehabilitation team at Mansfield Community Hospital, with services also offered at Newark and Kings Mill Hospital. There are educational opportunities (weekly medical Grand Rounds, weekly Geriatric Department educational meetings) and opportunities for audit and Quality Improvement Projects while at the hospital.
The post holder will be required to work as a member of the neurorehabilitation multidisciplinary team and be supervised as described above; responsibilities include assisting with in-reach into medical wards, seeing neurorehabilitation referrals on medical wards, running neurorehabilitation outpatient clinics, spasticity management and botulinum toxin injections, with training as required.
