Job description

AB Dynamics, a leading provider of automotive test systems, is inviting Year in Industry Engineering students to join its multidisciplinary teams. The placement will give you hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge track‑based solutions such as driving robots, ADAS targets, and laboratory equipment, including SPMM and ANVH.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering teams in real‑world projects from design through to testing and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to SysML system architecture development, requirements management, and product change management.
• Participate in verification, validation, and the creation of automated test routines.
• Assist in the specification, design, and integration of electrical/electronic subsystems, including schematic capture, wiring design, PCB layout, and prototype verification.
• Support build and test activities with manufacturing and commissioning teams and help resolve fault‑finding issues across track and laboratory test products.
• Generate and maintain technical documentation and design review reports.
• Develop front‑end user interfaces and tools for the HMI software team, improving usability and debugging capabilities.

Qualifications

• Year in Industry student in Systems Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Completed at least two years of an accredited degree and have a strong interest in automotive test and measurement technologies.
• Applying core circuit theory, control, and instrumentation principles in a multi‑disciplinary environment (for Electrical & Electronic students).
• Experience in modern programming languages, software design, and UI development (for Software HMI students). A passion for intuitive user‑interface design is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
