Job description

We have an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to join the Building Safety Team at Midland Heart as a Compliance Administrator. This is the great chance to join a high-achieving team and expand your knowledge and experience within the Social Housing sector.

Your role will be to provide full administrative support across building maintenance, safety and compliance services ensuring that our homes meet the highest safety standards, both now and into the future. This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to safety/compliance queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that all relevant certification is provided for all works completed by contractors.
  • Processing of certification, orders, invoices and other contract documentation/data.
  • Preparing and issuing legal letters.
  • Inputting data and management of digital records – ensuring all information held is accurate and up to date.

Our ideal candidate? Please upload both your CV and a covering letter linking your experience to the role, including:

  • Proven administration experience, delivering a wide range of admin duties in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in compliance or building safety, with exposure to areas such as gas, electrical, water hygiene, fire safety, lifts, or asbestos.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel, with experience using spreadsheets to track, manage, and maintain accurate data.
  • Experience working within housing, social housing, or property services, with an understanding of compliance requirements and deadlines.
  • A methodical approach, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage and prioritise multiple pieces of information effectively

Midland Heart operates Smart Working practices, through which colleagues deliver services from the location they're best delivered on any given day. The successful candidate should therefore expect to work from a Midland Heart site a minimum of 3 days per week, with the remainder worked remotely.
