Job description

You’ll take overall responsibility for ensuring the business meets its regulatory, quality and health & safety obligations, while driving a strong culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Acting as the business lead and advisor for Health & Safety
• Implementing, maintaining and improving H&S and quality management systems
• Ensuring robust SOPs, risk assessments and statutory compliance are in place
• Leading accident, incident and near-miss investigations and driving corrective action
• Managing ISO standards and regulatory compliance across the Group
• Planning and leading internal audits and supporting external audits
• Leading and developing teams across compliance, laboratory, certification and H&S
• Working closely with Operations, Engineering, HR and Product teams to resolve issues and improve performance
• Using data and reporting to reduce non-conformances, complaints and risk

What We’re Looking for

You’ll be confident, credible and comfortable operating in a regulated environment.

• Proven experience in a senior SHEQ, H&S or Compliance role
• Background in FMCG or another highly regulated industry such as food, pharma or chemicals
• Strong working knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory frameworks
• Leadership experience with the ability to influence and coach teams
• A practical, solutions-focused approach and strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Experience with TPD, CLP and HACCP
