Job description

We are seeking a mid-level Associate to join our IntellectualProperty team. The ideal candidate will have between 3 and 5 years ofpost-qualification experience. The post holder will be expected toadvise our existing client base in relation to a range of contentiousIP issues, with a focus on tech & comms patent litigation. Youwill be expected to apply your IP knowledge to assist our clients,across a range of technically complex industries, to reach commercialsolutions to the legal issues that they face. The firm advises in a away that supports our clients\' strategic objectives and is practicaland commercial.

Responsibilities

• Advise on other aspects of patent law, eg patent licensingdisputes and Standard Essential Patents (SEPs)/FRAND.
• Advise on the full range of intellectual property rights, with aparticular focus on patent litigation.
• Apply your experience and technical background to provide afirst-class litigation service to our clients.
• Provide advice on a wide range of related issues, bothnon-contentious and contentious.

Qualifications

• Excellent academic achievement, ideally with a degree inMathematics, Physics, Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry or similar.
• Ideally, have attended and passed the Oxford Postgraduate Diplomain Intellectual Property Law and Practice.
• A clear understanding of the operation and structure of acommercial law firm. A desire to assist the IP partners to developthe practice and support the strategic objectives of the firm.
• Flexibility supporting cases across a range of patent litigationissues and jurisdictions.
• A commitment to regularly update your own technical expertise andto achieve continuous improvement and development.
