A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior In-House Regulatory Counsel in London. This role requires significant experience as a qualified lawyer with expertise in regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with the Risk and Compliance team to ensure adherence to legal obligations and policies. We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Risk &Compliance team in London for a Senior In-House Regulatory Counselrole, reporting to the Head of Regulatory Compliance, COLP.
The OGC team is the firm's in-house legal team, which reports to theGeneral Counsel, working alongside the Risk and Compliance team. TheOGC at Bird & Bird is committed to providing a consistently highlevel of service for the firm and its partners and staff. Under theleadership of the team's Legal Director, it is aligned with andsupports the firm's strategy, always promoting a One Firm culture.
The function currently comprises a central team in London, consistingof a mixture of lawyers and non-lawyers.
The team deals with a variety of issues, from advising on, draftingand negotiating the terms in which the firm engages with its clients,its suppliers and other third parties, advising on commercial businessdecisions, legal tech, innovation, ESG, privacy, the Firm's corporateaffairs, and other areas of operational risk management. As such itplays a key role in protecting the Bird &Bird brand and promotingthe commercial interests of the Firm. We are looking for candidateswith a keen interest in the client's terms area of work, and apragmatic and commercial approach, who are looking to develop their skills.
