Why join us?

DWF are currently seeking to recruit a Paralegal to join their Commercial Insurance (Property Damage) team in Manchester or Liverpool.

The Commercial Insurance Team are instructed by their insurer clients to deal with a wide variety of property damage claims, spanning three core areas of: policy indemnity disputes, defending property damage liability claims, and pursuing subrogated recovery claims.

The role is hybrid, with flexible requirements. The successful individual will need to have access to either our Manchester or Liverpool office.

Responsibilities

• Assisting senior team members with a varied caseload of: property damage coverage claims, property liability damage claims (public and product liability matters), and pursuing subrogated recovery cases
• Prioritising work effectively and maximising efficiency in working practices
• Building stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
• Developing your technical and commercial knowledge working practice, experience and training

What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential

• Relevant Legal qualifications e.g. LLB, LLM
• Previous experience working in a legal environment
• The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, whilst working to strict deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to quickly and carefully assess files and sensitive data
• Computer literate including proficient use of Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable

• Previous experience handling insurance related property damage claims or similar work types
• Someone who can demonstrate a real desire to develop their career with DWF
