A community-focused water park in Greater London seeks volunteer facilitators to lead workshops that promote community engagement and environmental sustainability. As a facilitator, you will guide diverse groups, enhance support for the park’s projects, and contribute to creating accessible public spaces. This role is key in fostering community ownership and trust while driving forward the park's mission for long-term success.
East London Waterworks Park is looking for facilitator volunteers to lead projects and groups in creating our community-owned park.
Your workshop and meeting facilitation will be instrumental in fostering a strong connection between our community. Your input will help us craft compelling narratives that inspire, educate, and engage our service users, stakeholders, funders, and the general public, ultimately driving support for the park's mission and ensuring its long-term sustainability.
Volunteer-led East London Waterworks Park won a 2024 NLA award and raised £2m towards buying the 14-acre Lea Bridge Thames Water Depot to turn into a new biodiverse park with natural swimming, forest schools, and community spaces.
We are looking for facilitators to participate in our community-led working groups who are enhancing community cohesion, growing support of the project and co-designing the park with the wider public.
