Job summary

A leading infrastructure firm is seeking an experienced Environment & Sustainability Manager for a high-impact contract role in London. You will oversee environmental compliance for major works, ensuring all activities meet stringent regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing environmental aspects of large-scale UK construction projects and hold relevant qualifications. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive sustainability initiatives in the infrastructure sector.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of managing E&S on large-scale, regulated UK construction projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of EA permits, discharge consents, and waste exemptions.
  • Education in environmental discipline or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of all environmental consenting requirements.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the Environment Agency.
  • Oversee implementation of the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP).
  • Manage tracking and reporting of Project environmental KPIs.
  • Lead investigations into environmental incidents.
  • Provide guidance to site teams and subcontractors.
