Job summary

A prominent health organization in Hawkes Bay is seeking a part-time Child Protection and Maternal Wellbeing Nurse/Midwife Coordinator. In this role, you will lead intersectoral collaboration in addressing complex family needs, coordinate national alerts, and mentor clinicians. Ideal candidates are Registered Nurses or Midwives with strong cultural competence and a passion for community health. Applications are accepted through the online portal until 22nd February 2026.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to engage with Health New Zealand clinicians and community partners.
• Familiarity with child protection and family violence systems in Aotearoa is advantageous.
• Experience working as a Nurse/Midwife in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate National Child Protection Alerts and lead multi-disciplinary meetings.
• Teach clinicians about child protection and provide support.
• Collaborate with Government and NGO health and social service agencies.
