A childcare services provider in Laurencekirk is seeking an Early Years Senior Practitioner to oversee two settings and ensure the delivery of quality education and care. The successful candidate will contribute actively to the Early Level curriculum and must register with SSSC within 3 months. Due to the nature of this post, a valid PVG Scheme membership is essential. This is a fixed-term position until December 22, 2026, on Local Government terms.
A vacancy has arisen for an Early Years Senior Practitioner to act as a member of the Early Learning and Childcare team, with full involvement in the work of the Early Level curriculum, and where appropriate the pre-Birth to Three Framework, helping to contribute to the care and education of children.
This is a Children's Service Network (CSN) post. This is a peripatetic position, overseeing two ELC Settings based at Fettercairn and Auchenblae School Nurseries, but you may be required to work elsewhere within the Laurencekirk CSN.
The successful candidate will be employed on a 45.04 week per year contract. This position is subject to Local Government terms and conditions. Fixed Term until 22/12/2026.

This post is regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out of the UK in the last 5 years, an overseas criminal record check will be required. It will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment.
