Job summary

A community support organization in the UK is looking for a Perinatal Peer Supporter to assist new and expectant mothers with improving their mental health and emotional wellbeing. Qualifications

  • Own experience of pregnancy, birth, and caring for a newborn or supporting someone through this period.
  • Understanding of emotional impact of pregnancy and birth.
  • Ability to empathize with families during the first 1001 days.

Responsibilities

  • Work with new and expectant mums to improve maternal mental health.
  • Provide listening support sessions and work on recovery plans.
  • Build trusting relationships with service users.
