A leading childcare provider in the UK is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Manager to oversee its IT infrastructure across the UK and Ireland. About the role
As part of our continued growth and technology modernisation, we’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Manager to join our Technology & Change team.
You’ll play a key role in managing and improving our IT infrastructure across the UK and Ireland, ensuring resilient, secure and scalable environments. This is a hands‑on leadership role covering networks, servers, storage and cloud infrastructure (AWS), with a strong focus on operational excellence, vendor management, disaster recovery and business continuity.
You’ll also support new nursery openings and acquisitions, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver infrastructure solutions on time and within budget.

Oversee the day‑to‑day operation of network, server, storage and AWS infrastructure
Manage incidents, outages and continuous improvement initiatives
Lead infrastructure delivery for new centres and business acquisitions
Coordinate site surveys and procurement for connectivity, telephony and print services
Own and maintain Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans
Manage and optimise relationships with key infrastructure vendors across the UK & Ireland

Upskill and mentor internal infrastructure team members
Essential:
5+ years’ experience in an IT infrastructure environment
Strong hands‑on experience with networks, servers, storage and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Proven vendor and contract management experience
Solid understanding of IT infrastructure best practices and change management
Experience delivering infrastructure elements of projects and integrations
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel nationwide (with occasional overnight stays)
Desirable:
CompTIA+ certification
AWS and/or Azure certifications
