Overview

Catering Assistant – South West Norse

• Location: Winkleigh Primary School, EX19 8JQ
• Salary: £25,396.80 pro rata, equates to £12.21 per hour
• Hours: 22.5
• Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 2pm (Term Time Only)

South West Norse is established in delivering catering, cleaning, and facilities management services to a portfolio of clients in the local region in partnership with Devon County Council, combining local knowledge with service delivery expertise.

As we recognise the importance of building a strong kitchen team to be a key ingredient to our catering success, we currently have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant join our team at Winkleigh Primary School on a permanent, part-time basis.

The Role

You will be supporting all aspects of the catering service including ensuring completion of the preparation, cooking, presentation and service of our nutritious food and beverage outlets to students and staff while complying with food hygiene, Health and Safety and QA procedures.

This customer facing role will provide you with great exposure to all aspects of the catering environment with lots of opportunities to learn and develop your skills within the industry.

This position will require you to support the Kitchen Manager with food preparation, baking and general kitchen duties at Winkleigh Primary School. Then, drive meals to Kings Nympton Primary School where you will be serving lunches and then returning to Winkleigh to finish the day.

Due to the driving requirements of this role, a full driving licence and use of your own personal vehicle are required. Mileage is paid at 45p per mile
