Overview

Caretaker/Cleaner required at Aveton Gifford Primary School

Aveton Gifford, Devon - TQ7 4LB

£13.21/hour, equivalent to £27,476.80 pro rata (based on a 40 hour working week)

21 hours per week (14 hours Caretaking, 7 hours Cleaning)

Monday to Friday, between 3pm-7:15pm

Caretaking all year round, Cleaning during Term-Time only

South West Norse is a facilities management provider delivering support services across cleaning and facilities management disciplines. We currently have a great opportunity for a Caretaker / Cleaner to join our established team based at Aveton Gifford Primary School on a permanent, part-time basis.

Role duties

• Caretaking shifts: 2.8 hours per day, flexible start/finish times between 3pm–7:15pm, all year round.
• Cleaning shifts: 1.4 hours per day, flexible start/finish times between 3pm–7:15pm, term-time only.
• On-site work under the direction of an area supervisor, ensuring the site and grounds are cleaned and maintained to contractual standards.
• Responsible for equipment and products used in carrying out the role, including inventory and safe storage.
• Carry out day-to-day routine and ad-hoc cleaning services as defined by the Cleaning Supervisor, ensuring necessary standards are met and in line with Client and Norse Policies and Procedures.
• Support with general maintenance issues and some minor handyman duties as required.

Your Experience

• Capable of delivering a high level of customer service.
• Confident working both on your own and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with the client.
• Comfortable engaging with members of the public.
• Knowledge of health & safety guidelines relevant to the role would be an advantage.
