Key Responsibilities
- Reports to the Head of Global Medical Affairs and works closely with Regional Heads of Medical Affairs for US, EU and international markets.
- Creates and aligns the Global Medical Affairs Capabilities Plan with Strategic Goals and Objectives of Global and Regional Medical Plans.
- Develops Field Medical content for external use and internal training materials to support competency of team members.
- Manages Publications and Medical Information teams, ensuring alignment of Medical scientific communications, resources and training with brand or franchise strategies.
- Works collaboratively with Medical Affairs Heads, Corporate Communications, Publications and Medical Information to align materials and training across functions.
- Supports commercial resource development where Medical Affairs input is desired, and participates in Commercial resource development where appropriate.
- Works with Clinical, Development and Regulatory functions as appropriate.
- Drives strategic development, execution and implementation of all activities within the Medical Capabilities function, including Medical Resources, Training, Field Medical and Medical Booth Congress materials.
- Collaborates with Regional Medical Heads to develop, align and coordinate implementation of Medical Capabilities strategic initiatives and Medical Resources, Training and other Medical materials.
- Supports development of medical plans and launch plans from a Medical Capabilities perspective and ensures launch excellence.
- Analyzes medical insights and inquiries to inform strategy and development of scientific and medical resources.
- Develops and maintains policies and procedures for Content development, review and utilization; publications and training in collaboration with Medical Affairs and cross‑functional partners.
- Develops and manages the Medical Capabilities budget and partners with the Head of Global Medical Affairs for budget planning and tracking.
- Shares Global Medical materials with commercialization partners (e.g., MediSon) and supports development of congress materials, participating in congress planning on the congress cross‑functional team.
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
- At least 5 years of Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on medical content development and Field Medical content/resource development.
- Science or Medical degree, advanced degree preferred (PhD, PharmD, MD).
- Strong process, compliance and documentation expertise, ideally at a global level.
- Experience in Oncology (preferably Immuno‑oncology) or Immunology highly desirable.
- Excellent presentation, communication skills and high prioritization, results oriented and deadline focused skills.
- Self‑motivated and autonomous, thriving on challenge and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Office based or remote by design, expected travel < 25%; otherwise remote by design, travelling to office one to two times per month highly desirable.
