Job summary

A leading NHS Foundation Trust located in Cambridge is looking for a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse for Critical Care Practice Development. This role requires an experienced educator to lead and inspire teams in high-acuity environments. You will be responsible for strategic and operational leadership in critical care education, ensuring adherence to national standards and fostering professional development. Qualifications

  • Significant post-registration experience at Band 6 in critical care PD team.
  • Experience in leading and developing staff within PD team.
  • Experience in teaching, training, and mentoring staff.
  • Project management experience in quality improvement.
  • Audit / research experience.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate education, training, and professional development for staff.
  • Lead delivery of education and training programmes.
  • Promote development of evidence-based nursing practice.
  • Work across critical care areas and evaluate service provision.
  • Induction, orientation, and supervision of new nursing staff.
