Title: Product Manager
Location: Redhill, Surrey. Hybrid working, 2 days working from home per week
Summary: Manage a cross functional project team to deliver new own label products to market. Working alongside factories to develop products that match our customer requirements, with sustainable packaging solutions in line with customer targets.

Private Label Projects
- Deliver Private Label projects from inception to delivery, through aligned critical paths
- Work in partnership with other departments, sites & factories to manage the project to ensure optimal delivery for our business and for our customers
- Develop and implement agreed marketing activities to achieve objectives including but not exclusively:
- NPD development
- Packaging development
- Redesign coordination
- Manage projects using the appropriate available tools and resource within the business
- Support the creation of a robust P&L alongside commercial & finance
- Coordinate with customer contacts to successfully launch products that meet the needs of our customers
Customer and Portfolio Management
- Develop deep understanding of customer private label strategies to ensure LUK engage proactively alongside commercial
- Excel in Customer Management, enhancing the reputation of Lactalis with the customer base, and striving to improve performance on a continual basis.
- To Monitor performance versus key objectives, conducting analysis and making recommendations for action as and when necessary
Product Insight and Development
- Manage day-to-day relationships with relevant external agencies or suppliers, factories and Lactalis Central Services in the UK & and across the Lactalis Group
- Work alongside commercial functions to identify areas of opportunity within Private Label to drive growth within the customer base
- Quantify opportunities with Quality and Supply Chain departments to source viable solutions within the Groupe
- Produce reports on private labels performance as requested by the business
- Source and interpret consumer insight data relevant to own label products
- Ensure all allocated labels/products marketing activities are legally protected and approved through UK and central services
- Responsible for ordering samples for customers’ private label projects including coordination of tasting and completion of relevant documents
Essential Skills/Experience/Knowledge
- Experience in product development in food and retail FMCG
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
- Demonstrate ability to lead projects
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people at different levels
- Ability to communicate with clarity both verbally and in writing
- Commercial acumen, with the ability to understand and interpret marketing, category and commercial reports
- Ability to deliver financial targets on time
- Proficiency using key Microsoft office
Desirable Skills/Experience/Knowledge
- The ability to speak French and / or Italian
