A leading research institution in advanced materials is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Southampton. This role involves driving the production of chalcogenide materials and engaging in modelling and simulations. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in physics, chemistry, engineering, or materials science, along with leadership experience in research. The Novel and Compound facility Glass part of the Zepler Cleanrooms at the University of Southampton is creating the next generation of advanced materials for optical, photonic and electronic applications. You will be hosted in the Sustainable Electronic Technologies group in the Electronics and Computer Science through which the Novel and Compound facilities are managed. The team develops chalcogenide and layered materials from two dimensional materials to specialty bulk glasses, with a friendly, collaborative environment and a focus on the development of our people.
