Job description

We’re looking for a Social Media Assistant to join the Underdays team full‑time and help scale our social presence across Instagram and TikTok.

This is a hands‑on, creative role for someone at the start of their social career who lives and breathes content. You’ll work closely with our Head of Creative to ideate, shoot, edit and publish engaging social‑first content, while also supporting community management and brand engagement.

If you’re excited by trends, enjoy being behind (and occasionally in front of) the camera, and want to grow within a fast‑paced brand, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Editing
  • Edit video content for organic social and paid ads using tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar at scale.
  • Create still & graphic content for organic social and paid ads using Adobe, Canva, or equivalent tools.
  • Ensure all content aligns with Underdays’ tone of voice and visual identity.
Social Content & Ideation
  • Come up with engaging, platform‑native content ideas for Instagram and TikTok
  • Stay on top of social trends and react quickly, identifying relevant moments for Underdays to tap into.
  • Own content planning and execution across Underdays’ TikTok channel.
  • Confident to shoot and feature in content when relevant.
  • Research trends and new concept ideas for paid social ads.
Community Management
  • Respond to comments and DMs, spark conversations, and help nurture a positive, engaged community.
About You
  • Passionate about social media and content creation, with a strong interest in building a career in Social.
  • A creative self‑starter who’s comfortable moving fast and experimenting with ideas.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and an eye for brand‑building.
  • Comfortable adapting to a clear brand tone of voice and visual aesthetic.
  • Confident in editing video & stills content at scale using tools such as Capcut, Adobe, Canva.
  • Excited by trends, storytelling, and creating content that inspires and entertains.
Experience & Qualifications
  • 1‑2 years’ experience in social media, content creation, or a related role (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok, particularly video content.
  • Experience shooting and editing content for social is a big plus.
  • Previous experience working with aligned brands or in‑house teams is beneficial but not required.
