Key Objectives
As Content Creator, you will play a central role in bringing SLG’s brands to life through best-in-class social-first content. You will be responsible for creating high-performing organic and paid video content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other social media platforms, ensuring our brands remain culturally relevant, trend-led and performance driven.
Working closely with the Marketing Managers, you will translate brand strategy into engaging, platform-optimised content that drives awareness, engagement and growth across our portfolio, including Colab Dry Shampoo and Johnny’s Chop Shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Execution:
- Produce, shoot, edit and publish high-quality social-first video content for SLG brands, ensuring output is engaging, on‑brand and optimised for each platform.
- Appear confidently in front of the camera and capture behind‑the‑scenes content
- Creative Planning & Ideation:
- Participate in creative planning sessions, contributing original, distinctive and trend-led content ideas.
- Content Calendar Ownership:
- Own and manage the social content calendar in collaboration with Marketing Managers, ensuring timely delivery aligned to campaign and business objectives.
- Brand Consistency:
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and tone of voice.
- Trend & Competitor Analysis:
- Monitor platform trends, competitor activity and wider industry content to ensure SLG remains best in class and culturally relevant.
- Creative Community Development:
- Support the expansion of SLG’s creative network by sourcing and collaborating with creators, models, influencers, artists and creative professionals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Marketing Managers, Brand teams and the wider marketing function to support campaign launches, NPD and brand activations.
- Travel & Shoots:
- Support content creation across the UK and internationally as required, including flexible working around shoots and campaign schedules.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- Proven experience producing engaging social-first video content, ideally within beauty, fashion or lifestyle brands.
- Demonstrated ability to shoot and edit branded content and social media ads for TikTok, Instagram and other platforms.
- Highly creative with a strong visual and storytelling eye.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and CapCut.
- Confident using social media scheduling platforms such as Later, Sprinklr or Hootsuite.
- Strong understanding of platform-specific best practices, formats and performance drivers.
- Passionate about social media, with up‑to‑date knowledge of trends, sounds and cultural moments.
- Willingness to travel internationally and flexibility to shoot content across the UK.
